Wrap up campaign soon: India
By Atul Aneja
NEW DELHI, OCT.22. India wants the U.S. military campaign in
Afghanistan wrapped up as quickly as possible after the
coalition's political goals are achieved.
A spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that the
military campaign should also combine the use of political,
diplomatic and financial instruments to achieve these objectives.
Asked to comment on the developments along the Line of Control
(LoC) and the International Border (IB), the Defence Ministry
said there was no ``untoward development'' in this area.
Pakistan-supported infiltrations in Jammu and Kashmir were
continuing, it said.
On a report about India's intentions about Pakistan's nuclear
establishments, the spokesperson said that India had already
proposed expert-level bilateral talks for promoting nuclear
confidence building measures (CBMs) for ushering in peace and
stability in the region.
