Can't flick this ticket!
GETTING A ticket for the first show on the first day need not
mean standing in long queues in Hyderabad anymore. At least for
AirTel customers. Yeah. All they should do is to punch in a
message on their mobiles and reserve the ticket, thanks to a tie-
up between the mobile company and Easymovies.
Christened `m-ticketing,' the first of its kind service in the
twin cities, it would also be extended to Magic customers of
AirTel, thereby dispensing with the prospect of standing in the
longwinding queues at theatres.
But how does one make use of this facility? The mobile user has
to register oneself with his/her name and address through an SMS
to 500. After registering for the service, he would receive an
immediate status on the availability of the tickets.
Immediately after the registration, the subscriber would have to
get the theatre and show code and then book their tickets for the
movie of their choice. As a value addition, AirTel is also giving
customer additional information on the movie star cast and a list
of ticket selling points.
Okay... the ticket is reserved but how does one collect it? The
mobile company has worked out three ways of ticket collection
wherein the subscriber may collect the tickets at the theatre
itself or at any of the ticket issuing points of EasyMovies or
may even request home delivery.
Of course, it's going to cost some extra money. But as long as it
helps one escape the rigmarole of standing in the queues, how
does a couple of bucks matter?
