13 policemen killed
DHANBAD, OCT. 31. Radical left-wing extremists today shot and
stabbed to death 13 police personnel, including two officers, and
seriously wounded four in two separate attacks in Dhanbad
district of Jharkhand.
Over 100 persons belonging to the Lalkhandi group attacked a
block office on the Delhi-Dhanbad national highway and gunned
down two police sentries and a cook at Topchanchi. They then
struck at a nearby village market and fired on and stabbed to
death 10 personnel of the Jharkhand Armed Police.
