A wrong impression
Sir, - The murder of 18 Christians in Pakistan is condemnable and
evidently is the handiwork of those under the wrong impression
that all Christians are with the U.S. President, Mr. George Bush,
and all Muslims with Osama bin Laden. I believe that the media
has created this war between the Christian West and the Islamic
East. The average Christian or Muslim is more concerned about the
mindless terrorism, death of innocent people, loss of property
and unemployment, be it in the U.S., Kashmir or Afghanistan.
A war should be waged politically against terrorism and its root
cause. Those in Pakistan and elsewhere must not be carried away
by this fundamentalist and imperialistic propaganda and must
desist from targeting innocent minorities.
P. Hector Hema Sagar,
Kurnool, A.P.
