Pure gold crown for Lord Venkateswara

TIRUMALA, NOV. 1. In a fabulous offering, an industrialist from
Pune donated a crown made of pure gold and weighing 14.3 kg. to
the temple of Lord Venkateswara. The crown will be adorned on the
presiding deity on Friday after the weekly abhishekam.
According to temple sources, the crown is estimated to cost Rs.
80 lakhs.
