Orchid Chemicals turnover up

Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals has registered a marginal improvement in turnover for the six month period ended September 30, 2001 at Rs. 183 crores against Rs. 180 crores in the corresponding period in the previous year. The gross profit before depreciation and interest charges stood at Rs. 46.42 crores against Rs. 48.45 crores. The net profit has declined to Rs. 8.17 crores from Rs. 10.65 crores.
