47 p.c. growth for State Bank of Hyderabad
State Bank of Hyderabad has reported a net profit of Rs. 91.90
crores in the first six months ended September 30, 2001 against
Rs. 62.32 crores in the corresponding period last year, a growth
of 47 per cent.
Total income grew by 18 per cent to Rs. 1,097 crores from Rs. 927
crores. Despite falling market yields, income from advances
recorded a 14.23 per cent growth and that from investments 15.68
per cent.
Total business on a year-to-year basis increased impressively to
Rs. 22,923 crores, reflecting a 18.41 per cent growth. Deposits
went up to Rs. 14,906 crores from Rs. 12,140 crores and advances
to Rs. 8,017 crores from Rs. 7,219 crores.
