By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, NOV. 4. The fourth national convention on library and information networking (Naclin) is being organised by the University of Hyderabad in collaboration with the Developing Library Network from November 6 to 9 at the University's campus in Gachi Bowli.

Naclin will focus attention on digital resources. According to Dr. E. Rama Reddy, Librarian, Indira Gandhi Memorial Library of the University of Hyderabad, who is Organising Secretary of Naclin, this will enable our libraries to be part of the Global Information System, shifting the focus of the libraries from acquisition to access and from static library facilities to free, flexible and customised services.

Over 200 library science scholars, librarians and information scientists from Universities and researsh institutions are expected to attend. Subjects that will figure in the discussions are content creation, intellectual property rights, electronic journals, sharing in digital age, knowledge networking and manpower resources planning.
