Cyber attacks on Indian websites continue

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, NOV. 9.Cyber attacks on Indian websites by Pakistani hackers continue unabated. In the latest instance, the Maharashtra Government site hosted by the National Informatics Centre, Pune, was hacked by `ghostcrew' and anti-India messages posted on the homepage.

The hacked homepage was immediately repaired and the original content uploaded by the webmaster. The message on the hacked page with URL mah.nic.in proclaims that "Jihad has begun. We will destroy you....". Two days ago, another hacker group `ttyo' attacked Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) website with URL imd.ernet.in and posted its own message on the home page.

Another Indian website www.assamrifles.org was also hacked by another anti-India hacker group Eagle early this week. This site still continues to throw up the defaced page by the hackers who go by the name of `evil coders'.
