SBI to decide on PLR soon

NEW DELHI, NOV. 12. The Chairman of State Bank of India, Mr. Janaki Ballabh, said today the bank would decide on the revision of its prime lending rates (PLR) within a few days in the wake of the Bank Rate cut by the Reserve Bank of India.

``We will take a decision within a few days," Mr. Ballabh said here after a meeting with the Finance Minister but declined to comment whether the bank would reduce rates on deposits and credit.

SBI and other banks have not yet reduced lending rates after RBI's 0.5 per cent rate cut to 6.5 per cent in the busy season credit policy.
