IFC, NIIT and Citibank sign MoU
CHENNAI: The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is
finalising plans to help India embrace information technologies
by investing in student loans for information technology
education and financing a pilot project to develop Internet-based
education for children in the Indian slums. Mr. James D.
Wolfensohn, President of the World Bank Group, signed the
memoranda of understanding for the two IFC projects that would be
undertaken with NIIT, a major Indian education organisation.
