STF to stay

BANGALORE, NOV. 18. Karnataka has ruled out withdrawal of the Special Task Force and conceding the other demands of the forest brigand, Veerappan.

In a chat with presspersons today, the Chief Minister, Mr. S.M.Krishna, said Veerappan was free to surrender before any of the police stations in the State just like any criminal. The question of conceding the demands he was purported to have placed before the Tamil Nadu Government did not arise, he added.
