Badal hospitalised

CHANDIGARH, NOV. 18. The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, was admitted to hospital today after he suffered a thigh bone fracture from a fall in the bathroom at a guest house in Amritsar.

The incident took place a few hours before he was to speak at the closing ceremony of the bicentenary celebrations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Mr. Badal would be flown to Delhi and would undergo a surgery on his left hip.
