By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, NOV. 18.An intensive drive is being organised from November 16 to 30 for updating the electoral rolls of the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) keeping in view the ensuing elections.

A press release issued by the State Election Commission said the existing voter lists would be made available to the public for inspection at all the MCH ward offices. Persons whose names do not figure in the voter list but are eligible for enrolment

can make an application in the prescribed form during the fortnight. Similarly, applications can be filed for deletion of dead or ineligible voters from the rolls.

The MCH has constituted special teams for receiving applications for inclusion or deletion of names in the voter lists and for verification of such clims. Persons intending to get their names included in the list may produce documentary evidence like ration card, passport, credit card, electricity bill, telephone bill, bank account etc. as a proof of their residence as this will facilitate prompt enquiry into their claim for claims.
