Equestrian: Masih rides away with show jumping gold

JALANDHAR, NOV. 24. Punjab's Naib Risaldar J. P. Masih and his mount, Mast Maula, did not put a foot wrong all day and came up with two clear rounds to take custody of the show jumping gold at the PAP ground here on Saturday.

Assam's Major Sandeep Dewan, who like Masih enjoyed a clear round in the morning, incurred four penalty points in the afternoon and settled for the silver medal. Karnataka's Arun Maribashetti and Rajasthan's Captain N. S. Sandhu shared the bronze with 12 penalty points each.

The results: Show jumping (individual): 1. J. P. Masih on Mast Maula (Punjab) - clear rounds; 2. Sandeep Dewan on Master (Assam) - 4 penalty points; 3. Arun Marbashetti on CJ-15 (Karnataka) and N. S. Sandhu on Ruffian (Rajasthan) - 12 penalty points each. - Our Special Correspondent
