Five BMTC buses damaged in stone throwing

BANGALORE, NOV. 25. A group of youth threw stones at five BMTC
buses and attempted to set a bus on fire in the City Market area
on Sunday.
The glass panes of the buses were damaged in the stone throwing.
Police said that the youth were protesting over a feature in
Saturday's issue of The Hindu.
Police chased away the youth and brought the situation under
control immediately. Additional forces were deployed in the area.
In an incident on Saturday, a few youth threw stones at some
shops on Tannery Road in Kadugondanahalli Police limits. However,
police dispersed them. Security has been heightened in sensitive
areas in the City.
