By Our Staff Reporter
BANGALORE, NOV. 25. The Mayor, Mr. K.Chandrashekar, and the
Deputy Mayor, Mr. R.Shankar, on Sunday met the Chief Minister,
Mr. S.M.Krishna, at his residence and discussed the development
works to be taken up in the City.
The Chief Minister reportedly told them to provide civic
amenities to slums in the City on priority.
``For the overall development of the City, improvement of slums
is essential. This should be your priority,'' Mr. Krishna told
the Mayor.
The Mayor and his Deputy assured Mr. Krishna of their cooperation
in realising his vision of making Bangalore one of the best
cities in South Asia, sources said.
The former Mayor, Mr. M.Ramchandrappa, and a few corporators
accompanied Mr. Chandrashekar.
