India to boycott Denness

NEW DELHI, NOV. 26. The Indian Cricket Board today decided to permanently boycott the controversial match referee, Mr. Mike Denness, but gave clear indications that it favoured an amicable settlement with the International Cricket Council (ICC). It asserted that Virender Sehwag was eligible to play against England next week despite the ICC having ruled against that.

An emergency meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India here discussed the intense controversy surrounding the punishments handed down to six Indian players by Mr. Denness.
