Reshuffle: 'meddling' by MP alleged

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, NOV. 27. The TDP MLA from Anakapalle, Mr. Dadi Veerabhadra Rao, has sharply attacked the party MP, Mr. K. Yerran Naidu, for acting as an `extra-constitutional authority' by influencing `inclusions and exclusions' in Monday's Cabinet reshuffle.

Carefully avoiding frontal criticism of the Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, on this score, he took serious exception to the TD Parliamentary Party (TDPP) leader's `meddling' in party matters in Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts.

However, on another score, Mr. Rao faulted the Chief Minister for his inaction in remedying the situation in Visakhapatnam even after admitting that there was no proper leadership in the district. Interpreting this as an indictment of the Forest Minister, Mr. Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, he asked: ``Has the Chief Minister rectified this problem after reshuffling his Cabinet.''

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Veerabhadra Rao also threatened to launch a movement along with other like- minded parties for safeguarding the `self-respect' of Vizagites.

Mr. Rao's outburst came a day after he and three other MLAs dashed off a letter to the Chief Minister stating the he had not done justice to his loyalists and rewarded those who had openly questioned his leadership.
