Two Ministers take charge

HYDERABAD, NOV. 27. Mr. Kadiam Srihari today took charge of his new subject,Major Irrigation, after a puja, leaving Primary Education to Mr. M. Venkateswara Rao.

Mr Venkateswara Rao also began to function with new portfolio, remaining in his old chamber in the Secretariat. Mr Srihari later held a meeting with top Irrigation officials, including the department's Principal Secretary, Mr J. Harinarayan, and the Secretary, Mr C. V. S. K. Sarma, and a host of Engineers-in-Chief and chief engineers.

Mr Venkateswara Rao also undertook a similar exercise. The offices of the two Ministers exchanged files.

Other Ministers were yet to take over their new subjects or charge of the Ministry if they were new. They are expected to do so in the next few days. Meanwhile, arrangements are on by the General Administration Department to prepare three more chambers to accommodate new Ministers.
