Kotla group to retain identity

By Our Special Corresponden

tHYDERABAD, NOV. 27. Loyalists of late Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy, who met here on Tuesday, have decided to retain their group identity, while doing nothing that would harm the unity of the party in the State.

In the informal consultations among themselves, the overwhelming sentiment was that as followers of the former Chief Minister they would directly be loyal to the party president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi and strive hard to strengthen her hands.

As Mr. M. Satyanarayana Rao was appointed PCC president by Ms. Gandhi, the group would extend all support and cooperation to him, it was resolved at the luncheon meeting. The occasion was the third Masikam (90th day of his death) of Vijayabhaskara Reddy.

The question of who should lead the group was set aside as most participants felt that ``the leader will emerge in course of time.''

The former Minister, Mr. K. Ram Reddy, and the Kurnool DCC president, Mr. K.J. Suryaprakash Reddy, took the initiative in arranging the informal get-together of the former Chief Minister's followers.

The CWC member, Mrs Sarojini Pulla Reddy, the former deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Koneru Ranga Rao, the AICC secretary, Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao, the former Ministers, Mr. P. Upendra, Mr. K. Satyanarayana Raju, Dr. M.V. Mysoora Reddy, Mr. J.C. Diwakar Reddy, Mr. G. Venkat Reddy and Mr. M. Shashidhar Reddy, former MPs, Mr. R. Sambasiva Raju, former CLP secretary, Mr. M. Kodanda Reddy were among the participants.
