Ashok Leyland bags Bangladesh order

CHENNAI, NOV. 27. The Hinduja group flagship company Ashok
Leyland has signed a long term agreement for supply truck chassis
to Bangladesh.
According to the agreement, 500 truck chassis, valued at $6
million, would be supplied in CKD form for assembly by Pragoti
Industries, a Bangladesh Government undertaking, according to a
press release from Ashok Leyland.
A separate contract has been completed this month for supply of
80 double-decker buses to the Bangladesh Road Transport
Corporation.
The company is also executing an order for 500 minibus chassis to
Egypt.
