Two killed as train rams truck

SRIKAKULAM, DEC. 5. Two persons were killed when the 6004 Chennai-Howrah Mail hit a truck at an unmanned level-crossing at Kameswaripeta between Urlam and Srikakulam Road this evening.

According to information reaching here, the driver and cleaner of the truck died on the spot. Another man suffered critical injuries.

The accident occurred after the train left Srikakulam Road Station around 4.30 p.m. The train returned to Srikakulam Road station after the accident. As the engine was damaged it was replaced and the train left the station after 8 p.m.
