Course for women
By N. Ravi Kumar
TRY TO be understanding, adjust to the new environment, aim for perfection... and tips for a maiden stepping into the realms of married life are countless.
This is the time when her friends and relatives share their experiences of life and impress the bride-to-be. For the woman, who dreams of a married life of bliss, all these only add to her anxiety and confusion. Invariably, it is a case of easier said than done for many.
So, why not design a course that prepares women in different aspects as life, especially one that makes the transition for them, from daughter to daughter-in-law smooth. Taking the lead in this direction is Life Ecole - A Centre for Special Thoughts. An offshoot of the Institute of Design on Nungambakkam High Road, Life Ecole plans to conduct various programmes for different segments and ``to make the participants achievers in life''.
The first in the series is Ms. Perfect, a two-month programme for women in the age group of 18-35. Spread over 24 classes - three days a week and two hours a day - the programme would focus on everything associated with women and aspects that are important for them such as fashion, health and fitness, home decor, etiquette, married life and even shopping.
Explains Mr. N. Nadeem, Director, Life Ecole, the programme for the first batch of 20 women begins from December 13 and would be conducted at a star-hotel.
This is not the end of plans for Life Ecole as the Centre for Special Thoughts also proposes to hold programmes for men too.
