Tight security at Ayodhya

LUCKNOW, DEC. 5.

The Uttar Pradesh Government has made elaborate security arrangements in the State, particularly in Ayodhya, in view of the ninth anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition tomorrow.

Two additional companies of the Rapid Action Force had been deployed in Ayodhya along with ten companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary to maintain law and order in Faizabad, the State Director-General of Police, Mr. R.K. Pandit said.

In Mumbai, police have tightened security as a precautionary measure.
