Infant killed in blast

JAMMU, DEC. 6. An infant was killed and 20 others injured in a powerful grenade blast in Srinagar today.

Reports said militants hurled a grenade towards a BSF party purchasing vegetables near the Naaz Cinema at 3.30 p.m. The grenade missed the target and exploded injuring 20 people. A one-year-old infant who was in the lap of his mother, sustained injuries and was killed, police said.

The injured, including six women were rushed to the hospital where the condition of six of them was stated to be critical. No outfit has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
