Mawlong Govt. voted out

SHILLONG, DEC. 7. The 20-month-old E. K. Mawlong Government, reduced to a minority last month, was today voted out of power when the Assembly adopted a no-confidence motion against it by a voice vote.

Terming the Speaker, Mr. E. D. Marak's judgment a `brute ruling', the Chief Minister told UNI that he would not resign immediately. He also alleged that the Speaker did not allow him to speak about the controversial Kolkata-Meghalaya House deal in the House.
