MARGAO, DEC. 8. A fine bowling spell by left arm spinner S. K. Moinuddin's (four for 54) enabled Karnataka to restrict host Goa to a paltry 157 on the opening day of the three-day South Zone under-16 V. Pattabhiraman Trophy cricket match on Saturday.

At close, Karnataka was 44 for no loss in 12 overs with opening pair R. Jonathan (23) and Pavan Gargi (12) at the crease.

The highlight of the day was Karnataka wicketkeeper and captain Robin Uthappa's seven victims with three catches, three stumpings and a run out.
