Opinion - Letters to the Editor

Blood brothers

Sir, - Peace-loving Indians and Pakistanis must congratulate the American President, Mr. George W. Bush, on doing what he had declared after the September 11 attacks; ``the terrorists wherever they are in the world must be identified and eliminated.'' He has now branded the Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist organisations and has conveyed that the attack on the Parliament complex was not an isolated drama.

The Pakistan President, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, must hand over the leaders of the LeT and the JeM and pave the way for peaceful negotiations and avoid an unwanted war. Pakistan, afterall is not a stranger but a blood brother and why should brothers sharpen their swords for a fight?

R. Janakiraman,

Cheyyar, T.N.
