Opinion - Letters to the Editor

Coal import case

Sir, - With the Special Court pronouncing its verdict in the coal import case those who had hauled Ms. Jayalalithaa over the coals have been forced to eat humble pie. The verdict will surely boost the chances of the AIADMK in the byelections.

As for Mr. Subramanian Swamy, whose penchant for filing Public Interest Litigations (PIL) is well known, the message is clear - it cannot be used as a tool to fill one's insatiable appetite for politicking.

V.S. Jayaraman,

Chennai
