Plea to BSNL

Sir, - This is with reference to the article `BSNL cuts STD rates' (Dec. 29). Though everyone welcomes the substantial reduction in STD, I hope the BSNL will consider the following concessions: A local call must be charged after every five minutes instead of the existing three minutes. The bi-monthly rentals must be reduced to Rs. 250 as against the present Rs. 500. The number of free calls must be raised to 300.
