Opinion - Letters to the Editor

Restore LTC

Sir, - The denial of Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will not result in any financial gain or loss to the exchequer as the money is drawn from one department and remitted to another - the Railways. Recently, the tourism department requested the Government of India to reintroduce the facility for promoting internal tourism.

However, home-town L.T.C. may be curtailed so that serving employees of government departments will be compelled to go home with their own savings.

P. Janardanan,

Kannur, Kerala
