Three policemen killed in blast

DALTONGANJ, JAN. 1. Three policemen and an extremist were killed and five others injured when the People's War Group (PWG) triggered a landmine blast in Hussainabad police area in Jharkhand's Palamu district on Monday night, police said.

The PWG ultras detonated a landmine when a police patrol party arrived at Bansibigha village killing three policemen on the spot and injuring five others, including a police inspector. Police later opened fire at extremists killing one PWG man near the blast-site. - PTI
