Subbaiah Pillai Trophy from Jan. 3

VISAKHAPATNAM, JAN. 1. The K. Subbaiah Pillai Trophy limited-over round- robin tournament between South Zone teams will be held at three venues in the city from Thursday to January 8.
The venues are MCV Stadium and the Railway Stadium here and Ukku Stadium at Ukkunagaram (Visakhapatnam Steel Plant township). Kerala will play all its matches at the Ukku Stadium, according to the schedule of the tournament released by Mr. K. Parthasaradhy, secretary of the Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association, here on Tuesday.
The Kerala, Goa and Karnataka teams arrived here on Tuesday while the Andhra team would gather here on Wednesday. The Hyderabad team would arrive on Wednesday morning and the Tamil Nadu team in the afternoon.
The schedule:
Jan. 3: Tamil Nadu vs Karnataka at MCV Stadium, Andhra vs Hyderabad at Railway Stadium and Kerala vs Goa at Ukku Stadium. Jan. 4: Tamil Nadu vs Goa at Railway Stadium, Hyderabad vs Karnataka at MCV Stadium and Andhra vs Kerala at Ukku Stadium. Jan. 5: Hyderabad vs Kerala at Ukku Stadium, Tamil Nadu vs Andhra at MCV Stadium and Karnataka vs Goa at Railway Stadium. Jan. 6: Rest day. Jan. 7: Tamil Nadu vs Hyderabad at MCV Stadium, Andhra vs Goa at Railway Stadium and Karnataka vs Kerala at Ukku Stadium. Jan. 8: Tamil Nadu vs Kerala at Ukku Stadium, Karnataka vs Andhra at MCV Stadium and Hyderabad vs Goa at Railway Stadium.
