Quake in north India, Pak.

NEW DELHI, JAN. 3. An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale rocked several parts of north India but there was no report of any casualty or damage to property. The quake, which had its epicentre 150 km northeast of Kabul in the Hindukush mountains, jolted Pakistani cities of Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar and rocked the Afghan capital.

The tremors shook Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Haryana at around 12.35 p.m. and lasted 46 seconds, the Meteorological Department sources said. - PTI
