New T.N. Governor

NEW DELHI, JAN. 8. Two former Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were today named to take up gubernatorial assignments in Tamil Nadu and Nagaland. While P. S. Ramamohan Rao will be the new incumbent of the Raj Bhavan in Chennai, Shyamal Dutta will take over as the Governor of Nagaland.

Mr. Rao, former Director-General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, belonged to the 1956 IPS batch. He will take over from Dr. C. Rangarajan, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, who is holding additional charge. as Tamil Nadu Governor.

Mr. Dutta, who retired last July as Director, Intelligence Bureau, will replace O.P. Sharma who has completed his term in Nagaland.
