SRINAGAR, JAN. 13. Two Dutch nationals, who attacked a BSF patrol, were killed in retaliatory firing by the security personnel near Dal Lake today amidst controversy as to whether the two were terrorists or not.

A BSF statement said the two, whom it described as ``foreign militants'', launched a ``suicide attack'' on a patrol which was on way to its headquarters after a routine checking. The foreigners stabbed and tried to snatch the rifles of two BSF constables who fired in ``self defence'' killing the duo identified as Ell Bakiowli Ahmad and Ell Hassnowi Khaliq.
