India `B' succumbs to Sarandeep
BANGALORE, JAN. 12. Pressure and Sarandeep Singh inflicted a blackout on a chase under lights. And India A defeated India B by 59 runs in the Hero Honda N.K.P. Salve Challenger Series match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday.
The match failed to last the distance as India A's 289 for seven in 50 overs and Sarandeep's five-wicket (five for 57) haul shackled India B. The hunt for 290 was too much of an ask, as India B had to score the runs in 43 overs to pip India A in the run-rate chart. India B was bowled out for 230 in 38.4 overs and India A's second successive victory ensured its Sunday tilt for the Cup against India Seniors.
