Kerosene price hike likely

NEW DELHI, JAN. 15. The Petroleum Minister, Ram Naik, today indicated that kerosene may cost 70 to 75 paise more from April to reduce the subsidy from 37 to 33.3 per cent.

He told the reporters here on the sidelines of the fourth Indian Oil and Gas Conference organised by the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), that the price changes, would be effected in the Budget for 2002-3.
