Sir, - Refer your Editorial `A positive gesture from Pakistan' (Jan. 14): I am of the view that there is no political courage displayed by Pervez Musharraf in his speech. Pakistan was forced by the international community to make amendments in its approach towards terrorists operating from its soil in other countries.

Gen. Musharraf's speech cannot be construed as courageous or Pakistan's new goal. This is only a response to the present situation and Pakistan may go back to its old position once there is a change in scenario.
