MUMBAI, JAN. 15. Two time Mahindra Champion golfer of the year, Mukesh Kumar, was in blazing form on the first day of the Rs. 8 lakh Royal Challenge Grand Prix event at the Bombay Presidency Golf Course on Tuesday. He carded seven under 63 after consistent putting on the back nine, an effort which saw him equal the course record.

Leading scores after 18 holes: 1. Mukesh Kumar (63), S.S.P. Chowrasia (67), Arjun Singh and Pappan (68), Mohd. Salim and Digvijay Singh (69), Jagdish Angre, Mohd. Islam, Feroze Ali, Rohtas Singh, Monish Bindra (Devendra Patel, Prakash Kubde (70), Binod Pandey, Suleman Ali, Ranjit Singh and Rafiq Ali (71) and Ali Sher, K.P.S. Shekon, Vijay Kumar, Indrajit Bhalotia and Vinod Kumar (72).
