SC notice on Laloo's plea

NEW DELHI, JAN. 16. The Supreme Court today issued notice to the CBI on the bail applications of the two Bihar former Chief Ministers, Laloo Prasad Yadav and Jagannath Mishra, who were remanded to judicial custody in a multi-crore fodder scam case a few days ago by a Ranchi special court.

A Bench, comprising Justice K.T. Thomas and Justice S.N. Phukan, ordered the notice returnable on Monday on special leave petitions filed by Mr. Yadav and Mr. Mishra against the judgment of the Jharkhand High Court rejecting their bail petitions.
