18 shot dead in Assam

GUWAHATI, JAN. 22. Suspected Bodo militants gunned down 18 Hindi-speaking people at Jangalbarigaon village under the Mangaldoi police station of the Darrang district of Assam on Monday evening.

This is the second such massacre by the NDFB in a week.

Meanwhile, the United Liberation Front of Asom is making a survey of ``static targets''in the State ahead of the Republic Day, top intelligence sources say.
