IA flight makes emergency landing at Abu Dhabi

DUBAI, JAN. 22. An Indian Airlines flight from Chennai to Kuwait made an emergency landing at Abu Dhabi after developing a technical snag.

All the 93 passengers were put on another aircraft yesterday which proceeded to Kuwait within hours, the Regional Manager of the Indian Airlines, R.C. Kathuria, said.

``Passengers of the Chennai-Kochi-Goa-Kuwait flight were not inconvenienced as there was an aircraft available to take them to Kuwait,'' he said.

This was the second incident in a week of an Indian Airlines plane making an emergency landing in the UAE. On January 20 the first Haj flight from Jammu was forced to land at Sharjah following a technical hitch.
