U.S. can use Karachi airport
By Our Special Correspondent

ISLAMABAD, JAN. 23. The Musharraf Government has decided to allow the U.S. and its allies to make use of the logistic facilities at the Karachi airport for peace-keeping operations in Afghanistan.

An agreement between Pakistan and the coalition on the subject is expected to be finalised in a week.

Though Pakistan had allowed the U.S. and its allies to use at least two of its air bases, the decision was never made public for fear of incurring the wrath of the religious parties.
