Kidambi joins Poobesh, Venkatesh on top

PANAJI, JAN. 23. International Master Sunderrajan Kidambi (4.5) scored a fluent win over K.S. Poobesh Anand(3.5) to join top seeded M.R. Venkatesh (4.5) and R. Preetam Sharma (4.5) at the top of the tables at the end of fifth round of 31st National junior chess championship here on Wednesday.
In the fourth round, Kidambi's Chennai city-mate Ram S. Krishnan held him to a draw after a long fight.
