22 hurt as gas cylinder bursts
By Prafulla Das

BHUBANESWAR, JAN. 26. As many as 22 persons, including 14 children, were injured when a gas cylinder of a balloon vendor exploded at the Republic Day parade here today.

The incident took place barely 100 m from the saluting base on Mahatma Gandhi Marg, minutes after the Governor, M.M. Rajendran, left the venue.

People ran helter-skelter thinking that it was a bomb explosion. The Orissa Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, said the Government would bear the cost of the treatment.
