Opinion - Letters to the Editor

`Textbook terrorist'

Sir, — The Congress describing Murli Manohar Joshi as a `textbook terrorist' (Jan. 24) is amusing. In the same vein, Yashwant Sinha can be called a `financial terrorist', George Fernandes an `armed forces terrorist' (for his action against Admiral Bhagwat), Advani a `home terrorist', Jayalalithaa as `amma terrorist', Narasimha Rao a `silent terrorist', Sonia Gandhi a `Congress terrorist', S.M. Krishna `the best terrorist', Laloo Prasad Yadav a `joker terrorist' and Rabri Devi and Paneerselvam as `puppet terrorists'!

The list is endless. It's a pity that we are governed by so-called elite terrorists! Soon the term may acquire a status symbol.

Wg. Cdr. (retd.) V. Sundaresan,

Hyderabad
