Face polls, PM tells J&K outfits
By Our Staff Correspondent

RAIPUR, JAN. 28. The Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, today asked those indulging in muscle-flexing in Kashmir to try their power in Assembly elections. Without naming any organisation or political party, he said they should contest the elections if they had the courage to face the people and had the people's support.

At a public rally at the historic Saper School grounds, the Prime Minister admitted that lack of majority in Parliament did not allow the National Democratic Alliance to take several important decisions.

Referring to the recent split in the BJP in Chhattisgarh, he said it was unfortunate and added that the defecting MLAs should also quit from their seats while leaving the party.
