HC allows impleading of Jayalalithaa

NEW DELHI, JAN. 29. The Delhi High Court today allowed impleading of the AIADMK supremo, Jayalalithaa, in a petition by her DMK rival in the Andipatti constituency in Tamil Nadu from where she is seeking election to the Assembly.

Justice Manmohan Sarin, allowing Ms. Jayalalithaa's impleading in the case, directed the Election Commission to file an affidavit before February 6 detailing the steps taken regarding redressal of complaints about inclusion of 17,000 bogus names in electoral rolls from the constituency.
